2 Week Count Down to Valentine’s Day: verses about God’s love for us

2 Week Count Down to Valentine’s Day: verses about God’s love for us

February 1: John 3:16 NIV
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, [Or his only begotten Son] that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
~ Remember that God loves us soooo much that He sent His Son to die for us!

2: 1 John 3:1 NIV
How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.
~This verse reminds that God, our Father, loves us so much that He calls us His children. We are all Princesses!

3: Psalms 103:11 AND Romans 5:8
For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him;
~If the verse is in the Bible twice, the same way, it is important! His love is so GREAT!

4: John 15:9 NIV
"As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love.
~You are in God’s love!

5: Psalm 118:1 NIV
Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever.
~ His love is everlasting! Look at the whole chapter. His love endures forever repeats throughout the chapter.

6: Exodus 20:6 NIV
but showing love to a thousand {generations} of those who love me and keep my commandments.
~He is showing His love to us. How do you see His love every day?

February 7: 1 John 4:18-19 NIV
There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love. We love because he first loved us.
~Remember He first loved us, you and me! And we are called to love!

February 8: Deuteronomy 6:5 NIV
Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.
~Don’t forget to love the Lord back!

9: Exodus 34:6 NIV
And he passed in front of Moses, proclaiming, "The LORD, the LORD, the compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness, maintaining love to thousands, and forgiving wickedness, rebellion and sin.
~ The Lord surrounds us in His love!

10: 1 John 4:10 NIV
This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for [Or as the one who would turn aside his wrath, taking away] our sins.
~God shows us the greatest demonstration of love!

11: Exodus 15:13 NIV
"In your unfailing love you will lead the people you have redeemed. In your strength you will guide them to your holy dwelling.
~God’s love is unfailing.

12: 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 NIV
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil, but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.
~Think about each thing that love is. This is the perfect definition of love! We should try to live this kind of love out in our lives.

13: 1 Corinthians 13:8 NIV
Love never fails.
~3 words, such a powerful meaning. Never forget God’s love NEVER fails for us!

February 14-Happy Valentine’s Day!: 1 Corinthians 13:13 NIV
And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.
~And that sums it up…The Greatest is LOVE.
